While I absolutely love seeing these updates on my friend’s pages, I haven’t quite decided if I can really be a fan of not being eaten alive by sharks. I mean, I am a fan, but should I use social networking to broadcast that to the world?

Look no farther than Passive-Agressive Notes. I only looked at a couple (cut me some slack, I’m working!) but they’re funny enough to come back to. Like on those days when you wait in line for 20 minutes to buy a pair of jeans but the only person who is working at the register is on the phone with another store (for another rude customer) and the other 2 employees in the store both walk by in their mission to straighten the nearly immaculate store that is void of customers, save you… the one waiting in line for 20 minutes, until you give up and decide you don’t really need the jeans that much afterall.

What Would Tyler Durden Do and The Superficial

These celebrity-bashing gossip sites get me through days filled of spreadsheet reporting, emails that make me want to tear my hair out, and just plain boredom.  They’re most often barely safe for work (they clearly label the pictures that are NSFW, things like wardrobe malfunctions that show nipples and netherregions of the rich and famous), but they’re hilarious. If I could write for a site that actually got read, I’d write for one of these.

Here’s a sampling of headlines from today:

  • Tom Brady will be seeing a whole lot of Gisele Bundchen
  • Ashlee Simpson only squeezing out one Mini-Pete Wentz
  • CALM DOWN KATE HUDSON
  • SHORT HAIR SUCKS EVERY SINGLE TIME

I’m ready for warmer weather – I want to see the plants starting to grow, not have to put on a sweatshirt and a coat every time I leave the house, and actually wear some of the cute spring shoes that are popping up all over! As part of this desire to speed spring in, I headed out yesterday to get a pedicure. I also ended up with an adorable new pair of shoes. (Check them out… mine are just in patent leather.)

Of course, by the time my pedicure was down, it was snowing like crazy. We’ve got about 3″ so far, and are supposed to get more today during the day. (I’ll post pictures later. As much as I hate the fact that it snowed, it really is pretty.)

Me and my pretty toes are staying in today.
